The challenge now is to write a short story composing of exactly fifty (50) words; no more, no less. It could be on any topic, about anything, just as long at it has fifty (50) words exactly.

Writing Prompts

One of the best ways to get past writer's block is to respond to creative prompts. Remember the product of these prompts don't matter. The most important thing is the proccess.

Prompt #1

"Anger suffers as grief withdraws." Do a 5 minute freewrite with this as your starting point. Do not stop writing until the time is up.

Prompt #2

Write from the point of view the last tree in a forest.

Prompt #3

Use the following words and phrases in a short story: frayed hat, whisper, mop and piece

Prompt #4

Two friends discover an abandoned library.
Describe their adventure.
